At the beginning of the year 2018, during renovation of the cathedral's floor, an amazing treasure was discovered by archaeologists.
This consists of nearly 500 gold coins as well as 200 artefacts that had been buried in the ground for over three centuries. The treasure is already on display in the European Money Centre (District Museum) located on Mill Island in Bydgoszcz
