Starofarny Cemetery
Description
It is the oldest Catholic cemetery in Bydgoszcz. Starofarny Cemetery has an area of 3.2 ha. There are 10 rectangular quarters whose boundaries are marked by earthy alleys. The tombs are located here in a row order, with no orientation principle (directing the dead to the east). In the center of the cemetery there is a former pre-funeral chapel, with a cemetery cross next to it. In the southern part of the cemetery there are brick tombs of the Modrakowski, Kościński, Markowski, Łasiński and Boginski families, and outside the cemetery there are the tombs of Czarliński and Dienhof-Hotomski. The fence from the side of the Bydgoszcz Canal was reconstructed in the 1980s, and from the street Grunwaldzka in 2008.
