The broad oak Ossolińskich Avenue features the Oak Lane of Meritorious People. Such people as Pope John Paul II, painter and graphic artist Leon Wyczółkowski, writer Tadeusz Nowakowski, and cryptologist Marian Rejewski have their trees here. A common magnolia (natural phenomenon) grows in 12 Ossolińskich Avenue. It is one of the most magnificent and the oldest magnolias in Bydgoszcz.
