Sculpture of the Raftsman

While passing by the Bridge of Jerzy Sulima - Kamiński or going down the stairs to the boulevard you can have a look at the Sculpture of the Raftsman that refers to boating and water traditions of the town.

Moreover statuary reminds us of one Hungarian map maker - Ferenc Flórián Csáky - who had big influence on the construction of Bydgoszcz Canal.

The statue was sculptured by local artist Michał Kubiak. The Raftsman was sponsored by Hungarian Embassy and supported by Municipal Councile, Marshal's Office and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
