Brdyujście Boate Race Course
Description
The water reservoir located in Bydgoszcz, in the lower part of the Brda River, is used for water sports. It is the oldest regatta course in Poland, created as the national water sports centre in the interwar period. At present, it is one of the most important waters for rowing and canoeing regattas in Poland. It is made up of the waters of the Brda River, piled up by a cylindrical weir, which flooded the estuarial section of the river. The reservoir is separated from the Vistula by a rampart and a dyke. The height of water accumulation is about 3.7 meters.
